What’s the story?
How to write a press release workshop
Maxine Gordon is a journalist who writes for The Press, Yorkshire Living magazine, and Yorkshire Living Brides. She also runs What’s the story? – a hands-on workshop to help you tell your story in the perfect press release. Getting the right editorial coverage is a great way to boost your business or organisation.
“Would you like more media coverage, but can’t afford a PR budget? Have you ever wondered why journalists say ‘yes’ to some stories but ‘no’ to others? I will give you the answers – and more. I’ll share with you what journalists are looking for, how best to contact them, and how to make your press release stand out.”
The workshops – which take place in York and are limited to 8 places – cost £150, run from 9.30am-4.30pm, and include refreshments, buffet lunch, and a guide on writing the perfect press release.
